CANADIAN GP – Hamilton fastest but crashes out in the rain

Lewis Hamilton was fastest despite crashing out in second practice ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix. The world champion aquaplaned off before he slid of the circuit bringing out the red flag.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was second three tenths of the pace before the rain came. The rain effectively ended the session with just under an hour remaining off the session. Vettel’s team-mate Kimi Raikkonen was third fastest.

Hamilton had a messy session before the crash he was force to run of the circuit early in the session after he got too close to the Louts of Romain Grosjean. Mercedes Power as in FP1 once again dominated the top ten.

Nico Hulkenberg was just outside the top ten. Both McLaren’s were low down on the time sheets with Fernando Alonso sixteenth fastest and Jenson Button.
