NOTEBOOK – Abu Dhabi Qualifying

Features This Grand Prix

Qualifying was once again a battle between the Mercedes team with Lewis Hamilton taking the honours in the first part of the session but it was Rosberg who took it when it mattered in Q3,

But Hamilton did try to respond to Rosberg when it got down to the final moments of the session. But I came down to the last runs and it was under half a second between them. This was the same throughout the practice sessions with the trade-off between the two.

Vettel

It will be a big question how Ferrari made that error not to complete that final lap. Yes because the track temperature was falling due to the time of day but it was a silly error from a big team. But it will provide some overtaking on a circuit which is difficult to overtake on.

But expect Mercedes to pull away from Ferrari in the first two sectors but the may close up in the final sector of the track.

Force India form

The introduction of the B-Spec car once again have proved that there car is a good car. It may allow him to jump Raikkonen and stay ahead of the Ferrari. They like any one they want to win

Perez Said “I’m very pleased with our strong performance all the way through qualifying. We’ve made some good decisions this weekend with the changes we have made to the car and it’s taken us in a very positive direction.”

Alonso

There are reports that he may quit if there is no signs of improvements in testing. Fernando has appeared a points in recent races where he has been frustrated.

In japan he labelled the engine  “GP2 engine! GP2 engine! Agggh!” McLaren has been an embarrassment this season. They need to improve its hard to believe it is three years since they last won a race.
