Charges stand for Mallya<\/strong><\/p>\n

India\u2019s Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Force India boss Vijay Mallya to drop charges relating to violation of foreign exchange rules. Mallya is charge with entering an unauthorised agreement in 1995 to advertise the Kingfisher beer brand on F1 cars between 1996-1998.<\/p>\n

Mallya is chairman of Kingfisher Beer which says he made an advertising deal without seeking permission from the central bank. The deal needed clearance because the agreement involved money going out of the country.<\/p>\n

Mallya sold most of his shares to and gave management control to Britain’s Diageo Plc in 2012. In April, the board of United Spirits began a procedure to remove Mallya as the company’s chairman due to alleged financial irregularities.<\/p>\n

Mallya denies the charges and will not resign.<\/p>\n

Officially released 2016 calendar <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2016 leaked provisional calendar has officially released by the FIA on Friday. The calendar hasn\u2019t been changed since the leak by Autosport in April.<\/p>\n

As we previously reported the season will start later with 21 races if Baku is prepared on time to hold the countries first race in July. The Russian Grand Prix will swap with Malaysia and be held on the 1st<\/sup> of May and the British Grand Prix swapped with the Austrian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan will host its first race under the Grand Prix of Europe on 17th<\/sup> of July. While the German Grand Prix returns in July. Abu Dhabi will host the season finale on the last weekend in November.<\/p>\n

Targeting Ferrari \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Williams has set their eyes on leap frogging Ferrari in the constructors championship after their performance at the British Grand Prix according to Rob Smedley.<\/p>\n

Both Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas out performed Ferrari through the weekend and lead the first few laps after overtaking the Mercedes at the start of the race.<\/p>\n

Smedley says the team are bringing new bits to the car every race and says there is more to come. He told Autosport \u201cWe are trying more and more to put ourselves into a more favourable position as we want to try and get second position in the championship – that is our target now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bottas added he believes is too far ahead for Williams to think about but says Ferrari can be caught.<\/p>\n

No substance but fun \u2013 Riccciardo <\/strong><\/p>\n

Red Bull\u2019s Daniel Ricciardo says there is little substance in rumours linking him with a switch to Ferrari next year. He says he treats it as \u2018fun\u2019.<\/p>\n

With speculation over Kimi Raikkonen\u2019s future with the team he has been linked as a replacement for the Fin reuniting him with his team-mate last season Sebastian Vettel. He says he doesn\u2019t know where the rumours started actually.<\/p>\n

He said \u201cFerrari is probably the only top team potentially with a seat open, which is why I guess my name and a few others have been linked to that. It\u2019s a bit of a laugh. You know what, it\u2019s fun – we talk about these things now, so it creates some variety in our conversations!\u201d<\/p>\n

He denied having any talks with Ferrari.<\/p>\n

Rip up the rule book<\/strong><\/p>\n

Berine Ecclestone says that the current regulations are keeping manufactures from entering the sport.<\/p>\n

Ecclestone doesn\u2019t see things in the same way as FIA president, Jean Todt, who favors a fully democratic approach to changes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need someone who will turn the lights on and off, whoever that is. But it’s going to happen\u201d he told Autoweek. He says Toyota may be interested in a return but there is no way would they come back with this power unit.<\/p>\n

Missing final \u2013 Hamilton<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lewis Hamilton was refused access to the royal box for yesterday\u2019s Wimbledon final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.<\/p>\n

Pictures show the world champion wearing a bright floral shirt and a hat, but no jacket or tie. The dress code for the royal box says men should wear a jacket, tie and formal shoes.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for Hamilton said \u201cDue to an unfortunate misunderstanding regarding dress code, Lewis is very disappointed to have missed the men’s final.\u201d<\/p>\n

The match was won by Djokovic.<\/p>\n
