The pain is endless – a daily torture. Every day, Jules is running a marathon. All of his organs are working without assistance. But, for now, he remains unconscious. He’s moving forward. So we hope for a new evolution. The next one would be for him to get out of his coma.”

He says that all of his son’s organs are working without help from machines. But he added that for this kind of trauma evolution is very slow

Ferrari more frustrating – Alonso

Fernando Alonso has told ESPN that his time with Ferrari was more frustrating than the poor start to his time with McLaren. The Spaniard has had a difficult start to the season following a crash during pre-season testing.

Alonso and his team-mate Jenson Button have failed to make second part of qualifying at the first three races, but Alonso insists he is less frustrated than he was at Ferrari. He said “The frustration, I have been racing for 14 years in Formula One and this is a situation that we know. In the recent years [at Ferrari] it was more frustrating because we were fighting for championships and didn’t get them”

Alonso believes that he was the driving force behind Ferrari’s success in recent years.

Honda new power unit

McLaren are going fire up the new Honda power unit this weekend before using it for the Spanish Grand Prix.

McLaren has struggled to make it out of Q1 this season but has begun to close the gap to the front during the first three races of the season. Eric Boullier told ESPN “We know which step we can still get out of this engine, so already in Bahrain we can power up the power unit a little bit and in Barcelona we have another spec coming, so we will keep improving every race.”

He says the team made a major step in China with the reliability package in China. Saying “there’s no issue. This is a good achievement, and now we know we can power up the engine and with the same base we know we have some potential we can unlock with this engine, so it’s okay”

Good enough woman

Louise Richardson has said she believes that F1 is ready for a female racer, but doesn’t think there is one currently good enough to make the step up.

The 22-year old has spent most of her career competing mainly against men after taking up racing to follow in the footsteps of her father and brother. Recently the issue of woman drivers has been back on the agenda after Bernie Ecclestone suggested a women-only championship.

Richardson believes the idea is a backwards step. Telling Sky Sports “Personally I find it a bit demeaning, because since I started racing I’ve been out there fighting with boys and trying to prove that I am just as good as them and that I’m equal.”

Endless pain The father of Jules Bianchi says the fight for his son to recover from his crash last season is like “running a marathon every day.” Bianchi remains in a coma six months after crashing into a recovery vehicle at the Japanese Grand Prix.
