He managed to go find the time when it mattered in Q3 going faster by 1.720 seconds than Sebastian Vettel in Q1. But Vettel as we saw in Sepang may have the better race pace on track. He does not need the same mistakes on strategy as in Malaysia because it was a factor in him losing out to Vettel<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Ferrari<\/em><br \/>\n3<sup>rd<\/sup> Sebastian Vettel, 6<sup>th<\/sup> Kimi Raikkonen<\/p>\n<p>Vettel did everything he needed to in order to get in the best place in order to challenge Mercedes during the race after going fastest in Q1. He will need a good start and must challenge in the twisty sectors and build the gap up there in order to win the race.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Williams<br \/>\n<\/em>4<sup>th<\/sup> Felipe Massa, 5<sup>th<\/sup> Valtteri Bottas<\/p>\n<p>Good solid performance from the team again. The team are making and on course to build on their position in the constructors championship and could in time be fighting for their first \u00a0win since 2012. However, they will require the long term funding as a business to do that. Bottas and Massa are and have proved themselves to be able to do that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Sauber<br \/>\n<\/em>9<sup>th<\/sup> Felipe Nasr, 10<sup>th<\/sup> Marcus Ericsson<\/p>\n<p>Sauber seem to be already slipping away a bit in one lap pace but they have proved what they are capable of. Ericsson I think will be a good driver and Nasr has also done his best to impress the paddock as a rookie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Toro Rosso<br \/>\n<\/em>13<sup>th<\/sup> Max Verstappen, 14<sup>th<\/sup> Carlos Sainz<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen has been another rookie who has impressed this season and he will be a talent to watch. I think he has proved us wrong when we slammed Toro Rosso for signing a sixteen year old. He will be looking to come back to get into the points during the race. Sainz looks good too.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Red Bull<br \/>\n<\/em>7<sup>th<\/sup> Daniel Ricciardo, 12<sup>th<\/sup> Danill Kvyat<\/p>\n<p>Red Bull had another difficult day on track backing up the worries that they are failing away on track. They hope to fight their way back to the top but this may take a few years in order to mount a serious challenge again.\u00a0 Ricciardo has done well to fill Vettel\u2019s boots.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Mclaren<\/em><br \/>\n18<sup>th<\/sup> Fernando Alonso, 17<sup>th<\/sup> Jenson Button<\/p>\n<p>Both drivers had another good day making some progress with developing the car. McLaren are still not where they would like to be still struggling to fight near the top of the field. Jenson Button said the car didn\u2019t feel too bad during Q1. They will be hoping their race pace is better. Button has that ability to outperform the car and Alonso is good to.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other Results<\/p>\n<p><em>Force India<\/em><br \/>\n15<sup>th<\/sup> Sergio Perez, 16<sup>th<\/sup> Nico Hulkenberg<\/p>\n<p><em>Louts<\/em><br \/>\n8<sup>th<\/sup> Romain Grosjean, 11<sup>th<\/sup> Pastor Maldonado<\/p>\n<p><em>Manor<\/em><br \/>\n19<sup>th<\/sup> Will Stevens, 20<sup>th<\/sup> Roberto Merhi<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes 1st Lewis Hamilton, 2nd Nico Rosberg Hamilton has a strong fight to Rosberg in the final part of qualifying.
