Force India still behind<\/strong><\/p>\n

Force India say confirmed that its 2015 Formula 1 car will now not make its debut until the final Barcelona test. The team had been pushing to complete this in order to run in Barcelona next week.<\/p>\n

There is only few days between them has prompted some to ask whether they can make the season opener in Melbourne in a month\u2019s time. Deputy team \u00a0principal Bob Fernley says that the team will definitely be ready for the beginning of the campaign.<\/p>\n

“We will be in Melbourne for the start of the season, there’s no doubt about that,” he told AUTOSPORT recently.<\/p>\n

“Yes, testing time with the new car will have been limited, but we are doing everything possible to make sure we arrive in Australia in reasonable shape\u201d<\/p>\n

Wolff: Hamilton talks resolved by Melbourne (Hopefully)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says he would like the contract talks between the team and Lewis Hamilton to be resolved by the start of the season. The current world champion\u2019s contract ends at the end of 2015.<\/p>\n

The talks began last year but were frozen at the Russian GP to allow both sides to foucs on the championship. However there is no time limit on the talks but there is a deal meaning Mercedes can\u2019t talk to other drivers.<\/p>\n

“It is always beneficial you have a clear situation, for the driver and ourselves,” said Wolff. “That is the best case, but you want to get it right as well, so it needs time\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Hamilton is negotiating his own deal after splitting from management company. Wolff added \u201cIt’s about discussing how the next couple of years are going to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Australia heads to shared rights<\/strong><\/p>\n

A new deal between Fox Sports and Network Ten in Australian mean that F1 Fans will only been able to see half the races live. Fox will show all the races on pay to view while Network Ten will show half the races live with highlights of the others.<\/p>\n

A similar deal came into effect in the UK in 2012 after the BBC sold half it live rights to Sky. Like the BBC \/ Sky agreement the nation\u2019s home race and season finale will remain on free to air TV. But practice sessions and qualifying sessions will also be broadcast live on Fox Sport.<\/p>\n

Their partnership already includes three motor sport categories in MotoGP, V8 Supercars and now F1. \u201cThis new partnership means Fox Sports will broadcast Formula 1 how it is meant to be\u201d Fox Sports CEO Patrick Delany said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
