Williams will support Marussia return <\/strong><\/p>\n

Williams say they will support Marussia\u2019s bid to return to the grid this season and would have let them run last year\u2019s car.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Sky Sports deputy principal Claire Williams said\u00a0 “We\u2019ve been very clear on our position around Marussia and their entry: we want a full competitive line-up on the grid…and we will do anything to support Marussia coming back in.”<\/p>\n

Marussia folded last year however the team found new funding and came out of administration on Monday. Force India last week called Marussia’s application as “speculative” and lacking substance.<\/p>\n

She described the team as \u201ca middle team, not a small team. We go racing based on the sponsorship budget that we can generate, coupled with the prize money that we get. But it\u2019s a hard fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Korea faces court action <\/strong><\/p>\n

Organisers of the Korean Grand Prix are faces legal action after breaking there contract to host the race.<\/p>\n

Organisers had a six year deal to hold the race between 2010-2016 plus as five year renewal option. But say they can\u2019t hold the race because of \u2018financial issues\u2019. They also face a $86 million annual licence fee to hold the race.<\/p>\n

A official from the government said “We cannot reveal the amount of compensation demanded by FOM,” while adding that it was only a “fraction” of the $86 million maximum. The official added that the organisers are almost broke and \u00a0no further financial support likely from the South Jeolla provincial government.<\/p>\n

McLaren divides Woking <\/strong><\/p>\n

McLaren are looking at expanding there Woking headquarters with a new 57,000sq-m applied technology centre. Local Neighbours and conservationists have objected because it is on green belt land.<\/p>\n

If built the research facility with wind tunnel, workshops, research and development space, offices, meeting rooms and teaching and training spaces. While some local people object to the plan some argue that the team needs to grow and people should be “proud” of McLaren “just as the Italians are proud about Ferrari”.<\/p>\n

The council is due to make a decision on whether to allow the plans in the next month.<\/p>\n

Revolution could lure Adrian Newey back \u2013 Horner<\/strong><\/p>\n

Red Bull boss Christian Horner says if plans are introduced in 2017 to revolutionize F1 it could lure Adrian Newey back full time.<\/p>\n

Newey step away from total commitment to grand prix racing because he had grown frustrated with ever more restrictive rules. But with F1 teams embarking on a push to create faster and better looking cars over the next few years.<\/p>\n

Horner says he believes that Newey still has a huge passion for F1, so he thinks that his future could be open. Saying \u201che is at a stage in his career and life where he is enjoying the prospect of a couple of new challenges as well.
