The Dutch teenager completed over a 100 laps setting a 01:23.267.<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen set his fastest lap on the soft tyre during the first session using the Renault upgraded engine. With him setting the fastest lap it shows the French Manufacturer is beginning to make progress with there power unit plus Red Bull\u2019s own development progress.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Sky Sports Verstappen said \u201cI think it is positive, today was about checking the numbers and the reliability and it was all good. We didn&#8217;t have any problems and could run the whole day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are rumours that Renault\u2019s new engine could be introduced as soon as next week&#8217;s Monaco GP.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren\u2019s reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne was second setting his fastest time on the super-soft tyres ahead of Manor race driver and Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein was third fastest completing 133 laps. Yesterday Wehrlein was fifth for Manor.<\/p>\n<p>During the afternoon Vandoorne used the cooler conditions to try new parts on long runs which McLaren think lift performance over the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n<p>By using Wehrlein it means that Mercedes are obligated to run young drivers at the next test at Silverstone in July. Kevin Magnussen was eightieth fastest in the Renault completing a 122 laps.<\/p>\n<p>Haas\u2019s Esteban Gutierrez\u00a0spent his morning focusing on\u00a0 aerodynamic upgrades before switching to short fast runs in the afternoon sessions. Daniil Kyvat completed 116 laps as he continues to familiarise himself with the Toro Rosso.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari\u2019s Antonio Fuoco put a late lap in to go fifth fastest on\u00a0 the soft tyres as did force India\u2019s Alfonso Celis to go sixth. Kevin Magnussen couldn\u2019t beat his best time in the afternoon session as he focused on runs late on.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan King brought out the red flag during the morning after going wide at turn seven.
