It comes after months were the manufacturer has been debating there future in the sport.<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Ghosn, Renault&#8217;s chairman and chief executive officer, also hinted the company&#8217;s relationship with Red Bull is likely to end this year. The French manufacturer has been trying to take over the Lotus team which has been struggling financially.<\/p>\n<p>The options had been<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To buy back the Lotus team<\/li>\n<li>Remain how they are<\/li>\n<li>Leave the sport altogether<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ghosn told BBC News \u201cOur future is the subject of detailed analysis and renegotiating. We will either exit or run our own team. We don&#8217;t have a clear decision yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Red Bull is going through \u201cnecessary due diligence\u201d to take another engine which would most likely be Ferrari.<\/p>\n<p>Ghosn said Renault would &#8220;honour our contracts&#8221; but admitted the company was renegotiating &#8220;so it&#8217;s too early to say what&#8217;s going to be the conclusion&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Since the introduction of the V6 engines Red Bull has accused Renault of failing to provide a competitive version.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Renault is to stop supplying engines to Formula 1 teams as soon as possible.
