Lewis Hamilton was a fraction faster that his team-mate Nico Rosberg during the second practice for the Italian Grand Prix. The Mercedes duo were clearly putting the updated engine to best affect as they were 0.759 seconds faster than Ferrari\u2019s Sebastian Vettel.<\/p>\n
The Mercedes had an upgraded engine as they try to retain their lead over Ferrari in both the drivers and constructors championships. The manufacturer hasn\u2019t announced when their customer teams Lotus, Force India and Williams would receive it.<\/p>\n
But they all looked to be in good form with Sergio Perez fourth and Nico Hulkenberg fifth with Kimi Raikkonen\u2019s Ferrari putting Lotus\u2019s Romain Grosjean seventh ahead of team-mate Pastor Maldonado in eighth.<\/p>\n
Williams who had been looking the third fastest were just inside the top ten with Valtteri Bottas ninth and Felipe Massa tenth fastest.<\/p>\n
McLaren and Red Bull are bracing themselves for a difficult weekend as Ferrari and Mercedes have brought upgrades to Monza. This will mean the gap in power between the Renault and the Honda power unit will be greater. Also all there drivers have ten place penalties for changing engines.<\/p>\n
