The team scored their first points at there home race last year.

This year the team returned to Honda power with which they had success with in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. The partnership has struggled with power compared to other power units and was almost three seconds off the pace.

He told ESPN “The podium will be a consequence of hard work and time – it’s a question of time. We have the talent, we have the resources, we have the commitment.”

He says the summer break which starts after the Hungarian Grand Prix could be a turning point for the team.

More relaxed – Rosberg

Nico Rosberg says his relationship with Lewis Hamilton is “more relaxed” than it was last season. However, he warns there relationship could “change very quickly”.

Last season tensions between the pair provided some great action through the early part of 2014 but came to ahead at the Belgian Grand Prix when they collided on the second lap. Rosberg was punished with undisclosed disciplinary action.

He said at a Petronas event in Hamburg, Rosberg said “everything is the same” in terms of the way the team is managed, but revealed relations have simply thawed between the two drivers.

In favour of aero changes – Button

Jenson Button is in favour of the possible return of ground effect aerodynamics to Formula 1 in 2017. The proposal came to light after Autosport learnt that this was part of plans to make cars faster.

Teams are currently debating ideas on how F1 can be improved Red Bull suggested a major change in the way downforce is generated moving from front and rear wings to underbodies. The group has already announce a switch to wider tyres.

Button says “It’s good to see a lot of new ideas for the future – I wish they were next year rather than 2017. He told Autosport he likes the ideas of lighter cars and more mechanical grip.

He said “if you’re going to work with downforce it should come from the floor rather than the wings, because you can race closer and fight, and you don’t have as much dirty air from the wings for the car following.”

Renault compromising setup – Ricciardo

Renault’s power unit is compromising Red Bull’s setup says Daniel Ricciardo. Last year Ricciardo managed to pick up three wins but have this season slipped to fourth place behind Mercedes, Ferrari and Williams.

Toro Rosso the sister team to Red Bull has out pace them on several occasions with the same power unit. Ricciardo told Autosport “This year we’ve struggled a bit more in braking, I don’t think we’ve had as much feeling with the car under braking”

He added “I would say we’ve got some of that back, so that’s coming, and I think a lot of it’s rear grip, to be honest. I think it starts with traction, but [corner] entries, every driver will say the same – you can never have enough.”

Earlier this year a spat between Red Bull and engine partners Renault broke out over the responsibility for the lack of performance.

Not if, But When – Alonso Mclaren driver Fernando Alonso says its only a question of when the team returns to fighting at the top.
