Boring tactics<\/strong><\/p>\n

Williams believe that the low risk strategy is paying of despite there tactics being branded as boring according to Rob Smedly. The team has claimed nine out of ten points finishes this season however they have not managed to finish in the top three.<\/p>\n

Smedly told autosport \u201cWe’ve qualified in the same positions and got those points, rather than chasing rainbows.\u201d He added \u201cThese are the points on the table to us and that’s what we’re going to get. That’s the biggest improvements I’ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smedly joined the team tasked with improving the teams efficiency which he believes are coming through now.<\/p>\n

Alonso top of wage scale <\/strong><\/p>\n

Fernando Alonso remains the highest paid driver in Formula One according to magazine Business Book. The Spanish driver will earn $35 million (\u00a3257,162,960.28) this season after switching from Ferrari to McLaren this season.<\/p>\n

The man Alonso replaced at Ferrari Sebastian Vettel is earning three times as much as he did at Red Bull $30 million (\u00a3220,341,00). Lewis Hamilton who will overtake Alonso next season currently earns $28 million (\u00a3205,651,60) but it set to rise after he signed a new contract.<\/p>\n

Kimi Raikkonen earn $20 million (\u00a3146,894,000.00), Nico Rosberg S15 Million (\u00a3977,893.95) and Button $11 Million (\u00a311,000,00). Towards the bottom are Sauber\u2019s Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson $220,000 each, while Manor’s Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi make even less than that, the list suggests.<\/p>\n

New insight<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mark Webber is to release a autobiography giving new details of life alongside Sebastian Vettel. Webber retired from Formula One in 2013 after 14 seasons.<\/p>\n

Webber last wrote one about the year highs and lows of the year he almost won the world championship. However, this new book is set to reveal all that went on during the controversial years at Red Bull where Sebastian Vettel ruled the roost<\/p>\n

The beginning blurb reads \u201cIn the exhilarating, high-stakes world of Formula One, only the fastest make it to the top. And no one knows this better than Australian Formula One legend Mark Webber. His career in F1 stretched for an incredible eleven years, seeing him garner thirteen poll positions, earn forty-two podiums and win nine races including the crown jewel of F1, the Monacco Grand prix, twice.\u201d<\/p>\n

No burden \u2013 Haas <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gene Haas believes that joining F1 will not be a burden when he joins the sport next season. The American already owns a Nascar team and a tool business.<\/p>\n

He says that other people run his Nascar team and his partner Nascar champion Tony Stewart \u201cdoes very well in helping to run that, with other personnel that do almost all the work. My main job is building machine tools, and that’s still going to be my main goal next year, and I’m still going to be doing NASCAR, along with F1\u201d he told Autosport.<\/p>\n

He also said he knows he \u00a0would not have entered F1 but for the changes to the regulations.<\/p>\n

Mansell opening restaurant <\/strong><\/p>\n

Nigel Mansell is to ‘officially open’ restaurant in Welsh Caravan Park near Barmouth. The former world champion has holidayed there since he was a child.<\/p>\n

the new restaurant, which has been named Nineteen57 and will later this month with 20 staff to be employed at the site. Mansell has been coming to the park for more than 50 years after first holidaying their with his family when he was four-years-old.<\/p>\n

He currently owns a caravan on the 25-acre park which has 200 caravan holiday homes, 75 fully serviced, hard standing pitches for touring caravans<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
