Williams off the pace<\/strong><\/p>\n

Valtteri Bottas says that Williams is missing \u201cquite a big amount\u201d of race pace if they want to remain one of the sport’s frontrunners. The team had a big turnaround last season after finishing third in the constructors championship.<\/p>\n

But this season appears to of been pushed back to this after Sebastian Vettel’s shock win in the Malaysian Grand Prix giving Ferrari the best of the rest title. Bottas told Autosport \u201cWe maximised the result but we are missing race pace – and quite a big amount. The gap wouldn’t be that big but it is too big, much bigger than we expected.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added \u201cshows we have a lot of work to do. There is a lot more potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ericson\u2019s breakthrough <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sauber\u2019s Marcus Ericsson has described last weekend as a \u201cbreakthrough\u201d in Formula One even though he spun out of the race.<\/p>\n

The Swedish driver made it into the final part of qualifying for the first time in his career but he spun out after he braked to late on lap four. He said he thinks he was a \u201cfraction too late on the brakes and when I started turning the car, instead of sticking, the rear just wanted to jump out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says he had a good weekend after he showed good pace. He added in his interview with Autosport \u201cI’ve been top 10 in every session and in general felt really strong. I’ve felt competitive in the car as well, so it’s a bit of a breakthrough for me. But you go away with a frustrating feeling because I’m sure that we could have been fighting for seventh and eighth with the Toro Rossos\u201d<\/p>\n

Still work to do – Allison<\/strong><\/p>\n

James Allison has said Ferrari still has a lot of work to do if they want to challenge Mercedes consistently this season. The team took their first race win since 2013 Spanish Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Allison says he is thrilled to see the team return to the top in surprising circumstances. Butt says the margin between Ferrari shows what needs to be done. He told Crash.net \u201cthere’s a lot of work for us to do before we can come to a race weekend confident that we can hunt for victory from the first session of the weekend, but we do have an exciting development programme.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says Ferrari\u2019s victory still means that pressure remains on the team because \u201cthe history and tradition of the team bearing down on our shoulders.\u201d But admits victory in Malaysia goes a long way to help ease the pressure.<\/p>\n

F1 2015 Game<\/strong><\/p>\n

Codemasters have announced the official date that this season Formula One game will be released on the 12 June. The 2015 edition will be available on \u00a0Xbox\u00a0 One, PS4 and PC. The game will be the seventh in the series.<\/p>\n

The developers are working on improving the graphics on the new edition including feedback from the engine, tyres, aerodynamics and suspension. They say the improvements will give the player a very \u201crealistic representation of how these cars handle on track.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also new features include a \u2018broadcast style\u2019 which will be reminiscent of a race day broadcast. Also Kinect can be used for voice commands during a race. The German Grand Prix will feature despite it being cancelled in the 2014 section with 2014 cars and drivers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
