Manor reborn official<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manor has officially confirmed its entry to 2015 season. In a statement the confirmed that the team to came out of administration after new investment from Stephen Fitzpatrick.<\/p>\n

They allows confirmed that Graeme Lowdon will be the teams president and sporting director with the former Sainsbury\u2019s CEO Justin King taking over as the team\u2019s interim Chairman.<\/p>\n

Lowdon said: \u201cI want to thank all of the teams, the FIA, Formula One Management, our suppliers and staff and of course all of the fans for the support we\u2019ve received over the past six months. It has been a challenging period for all of us but we\u2019ve come through it and now we just want to go racing again.\u201d<\/p>\n

King added that it has been real pleasure for me to be involved in Manor. \u201cI know from with the right people, the right values, and sheer hard work, you can turn any business around.\u201d Said king<\/p>\n

Mercedes made force India\u2019s testing affordable <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mercedes paid Force India to run its reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein at the second Formula 1 test. Without the funding the team would of not been able to.<\/p>\n

The team has been struggling to make any of the test because there car wasn\u2019t ready. Deputy team principal Bob Fernley told Autosport. “Mercedes wanted him to have some time in the car and it suited us in terms of being able to run the car.”<\/p>\n

He added it was \u201cwin- win\u201d because it allowed the team to get Nico and Sergio back up to speed before the third test. The team last year called for more finical support for smaller team<\/p>\n

Pirelli confirmed its tyre choices<\/strong><\/p>\n

Formula One tire supplier Pirelli has confirmed its tyre choices for the first four races of the season.<\/p>\n

For the season opener it will provide the Medium and soft compounds before changing to medium and hard compounds for the Malaysian GP two weeks later. The switch is because the Seapang Circuit is known for its abrasive asphalt and high temperatures.<\/p>\n

For the two following races in Bahrain and China the medium and soft tyres will also be used. This is because Bahrain \u00a0is tough on the rear tires and China also has high degradation.<\/p>\n

MH17 continuing impact<\/strong><\/p>\n

The continued western imposed sanctions on Russia over allegations of Russian involvement in eastern Ukraine could lead to this year\u2019s Grand Prix being cancelled.<\/p>\n

The sanctions begin after the shooting down by allegedly Russian backed rebels of Malaysia Airlines fight MH17. This has caused the Russian exchange rates to rise and oil prices to rise causing some to say the country is heading towards recession.<\/p>\n

Red Bull\u2019s Erich Wolf confirmed “our partners in Russia are facing extremely high exchange rates. This makes it impossible to set up an infrastructure fulfilling our high standards and also to provide our fans with tickets at affordable prices.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mercedes more dominant this season<\/strong><\/p>\n

World Champion Lewis Hamilton says he is hoping that Mercedes team will be even more dominant this season even if he also wants rivals to give him more of a challenge.<\/p>\n

Speaking to laureus.com he says \u201cI think 2014 was definitely one of the best, if not the best year of my career. Even though we were at the front of the field the majority of the time, the leader of the pack and ahead of others, it was still a challenge within us to try and improve all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hamilton is still \u00a0negotiating a new contract with Mercedes. This is aiming for his third championship this year and reckoned he would have time to challenge for plenty more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
