The German took control of the race early on after making a good start and soon opening the gap over Hamilton. Ferrari\u2019s Sebastian Vettel finished third ahead of his team-mate kimi Raikkonen.<\/p>\n<p>Rosberg\u2019s fifth victory means he once again is guaranteed to finish second to Hamilton in the championship. Hamilton did try to catch but he couldn\u2019t manage to make the pass on Rosberg dispute looking close but not close enough.<\/p>\n<p>Rosberg said \u201cIt was a good challenge from Lewis but I was able to control the pace. We saw Lewis dropping off a lot with degradation and that confirmed it was important to take care of the tyres. I am pushing now and I was pushing\u00a0earlier in the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The race appeared from the start to be in Rosberg\u2019s hands after forcing Hamilton wide at the start before pulling the gap over the British driver.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton said he had good pace but you can\u2019t overtake him. He added \u201cI am here to race and when you both have to do the same order then if there are other strategies let&#8217;s take a risk. I just couldn&#8217;t get close enough, so it was relatively boring following in a tow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams\u2019s Valtteri Bottas appeared unchallenged trough the race on his way to fifth ahead of Red Bull\u2019s Daniil Kyvat separating him from team-mate Felipe Massa.<\/p>\n<p>Williams were called to face the stewards after there \u00a0rear tyres of Massa were over the pressure threshold. Following there <a href=\"https:\/\/f1vault.co.uk\/brazilian-gp-massa-excluded-from-his-home-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investigation<\/a>\u00a0were they disqualified the Brazilian from the race.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">The McLaren woes continued with Jenson Button finishing fourteenth and Fernando Alonso sixteenth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Romain Grosjean finished eightieth ahead of rookie Max Verstappen in ninth for Toro Rosso. The 18-year old once again he managed to impress the paddock by making a move around the outside of the Senna S on Sergio Perez before making the move stick on the inside.<\/p>\n<p>For his team-mate Carlos Sainz his race was over before it be begun retiring on the opening lap.
